Dose Reminder

Support

Questions, bugs and requests all go to one person, so please be specific.

Send feedback

We send one confirmation email here. Nothing else.

Between 5 and 5000 characters.

Your address is used only to confirm this message and to reply to it. The message is deleted if you don't confirm within 24 hours.

What to include

Open the app's menu and read the Technical section: bundle ID, version and build. Include those, what you expected, and what happened instead. Don't send screenshots of your medication list unless you mean to — it is health information and email is not private.

Common problems

Reminders aren't arriving

Open Settings ▸ Is it actually working? in the app. It reports what iOS actually holds: whether permission was granted, how many reminders are really queued, when the next one fires, and whether the chime is present. There is also a test reminder that fires in ten seconds.

A reminder arrived, but silently

The chime obeys the ringer switch, like almost every app. Bypassing silent mode needs Apple's Critical Alerts entitlement, which Dose Reminder does not have. A Focus mode can also hold reminders back.

Does it keep making a sound until I take it?

Not continuously — iOS plays a notification sound once per notification and caps it at 30 seconds. The persistence comes from repeating the notification: one chime per reminder, every 10, 15 or 20 minutes, until you tap Taken.

I forgot my backup passphrase

The file cannot be opened. Not by you, not by us. The passphrase is the only thing that derives the key, and nothing about it is stored anywhere.

Moving to a new phone

Nothing syncs, so use Settings ▸ Backup ▸ Export, keep the file and the passphrase somewhere safe, then Import on the new phone.

Not a medical device

Dose Reminder is a reminder. It does not check interactions, dosages or contraindications, and it is not a substitute for advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
